The right support at the right time

After a year of delivering specialist support in schools to young people on our programme, we hosted our annual Delivery Partner event to say thank you for their hard work and partnership. It was an opportunity to come together with our partners and celebrate the impact of their work with young people in our community. 

Our Delivery Partners are integral to what we do. Through linking children and families to local opportunities in our Zone, we can provide specialist support that is tailored to each child’s individual needs – creating collective impact. Through building relationships with our Link Workers and providing their specialist expertise in schools, our Delivery Partners offer young people on our programme the right support at the right time.

Creating collective impact

The event was attended by Delivery Partner facilitators, trustees, organisation founders and supporters – all of who have been vital to delivering specialist support to children in schools and during school holidays. The night began with speeches from our Head of Partnerships, Kate Welsh and Link Worker Manager, Fatima Hussein, who brought to life how their work has made a difference. From our academic partners who work together with students to reach their potential in English and maths, our strengths-based partners who help to build self-confidence, to our social and emotional partners whose therapeutic practices support young people to boost their emotional wellbeing. Though they all take shape in different forms, they all work hand in hand with our Link Workers to support children and young people to get on track, socially, emotionally and academically. 

We also heard from young people on our programme who shared first-hand what they enjoyed most about the specialist support. From learning times tables to unlocking their creative potential, it was clear that not only do the sessions create space to learn new skills but also enable the opportunity to make friends, explore new ideas and build a sense of self-belief.
