We are pleased to announce that Esiri Lawrence has joined the West London Zone team as People and Culture Director. In this new role, Esiri will support West London Zone’s ambitious growth and impact strategy while ensuring that West London Zone remains a great place to work, where everyone feels included and engaged with the values and culture of the charity.

Esiri Lawrence said:

“I am very aware that many children in the UK are not given the same opportunities, and do not get the support they need, at the right time. This is why I was attracted to this role at West London Zone. I was keen to join a charity whose purpose is to work collaboratively in its community to reach the children who will most benefit from support, with the aim of enabling their social, emotional and academic progress so that they thrive in adulthood.”

Louisa Mitchell, CEO of West London Zone, said:

“Our people are our most valuable asset, enabling and delivering high quality and high impact support for children and young people in our community. I am delighted that Esiri joins us to support and develop the fantastic talent that exists in our team and our wider community. She will put people and culture at the centre of our organisational strategy and I feel confident that her addition to the team will empower West London Zone to continue to grow and improve.”

Esiri comes to West London Zone from Cambridge University and has worked in schools and universities as well as in the private sector where she has over 10 years experience of strategically leading and refining the People function.

She is a chartered member of the CIPD with a masters degree in Human Resources Management and currently undertaking a masters degree in Employment Law (LLM).
