By Emily Barran, Partnerships Manager

We are pleased and excited to announce our delivery partners for ‘year 1’ (2016/17). They are a diverse group of organisations with expertise  in the core areas needed to support the strengths and needs of the WLZ Year 1 cohort of children. Some are very local to the Zone and have been WLZ partners since the Steering Group phase in which we co-designed the WLZ model in 2014-15, whereas others are large national charities or new social enterprises. All are different, with their own expertise, characteristics, delivery models and progress measurement methods.

Clare Richards, Chief Executive of local educational charity, The ClementJames Centre, said:

‘We are delighted to be working with WLZ for a second year. WLZ manages to find the children who are hardest to reach and their unique Link Workers ensure they turn up to our support time after time, ready to work. We are able to set them appropriate tasks and targets, because of the information the Link Worker provides to us before we start support and therefore we are able to be more effective.

You can find all the partners we are working with this year below, including links to their respective websites. We expect to add a few more partners within the current Year 1 in response to the strengths and needs of the children in and we will update our website as the partnership expands.
