Imperial College and the Royal College of Art both have campuses situated locally in White City.

They were keen to work with and involve more local young people and so approached West London Zone to develop the "White City Project: Creative Roots," a holiday programme we delivered together with our Link Workers, scientists from Imperial College and artists from the Royal College of Art. Children made the most of the combined arts and science learning environments on our doorstep.

Working together with the artists and scientists, the WLZ Link Workers and the WLZ young people participated in a three day workshop - one day at the local Hammersmith Park to explore urban ecosystems and two days at the RCA carrying out experiments and working on drawing and writing projects.
