We held our first Community Fun Day of the Summer at the White City Adventure Playground! We had more than 300 people come along to join us for circus skills workshops, sport matches, puppet-making, story-telling, face-painting and cupcake decorating. We were so lucky with the weather and the sun shone all day, and so the children were able to make full use of the playground. We loved seeing them running around and enjoying themselves! Some of the parents took the chance to enjoy a quiet relaxation and massage with our onsite massage therapist too.

 

We were very grateful to our corporate volunteers from Goldman Sachs who helped set up and get the site ready and helped out throughout the day. Our staff team got stuck into face-painting, sports and story-telling and got completely covered in glitter from the glitter tattoo table. As a team, it was nice to get together with the community, and particularly to see the families that we work with and celebrate their child's progress this year.

 The New Generation Steel Orchestra were a fantastic soundtrack to the sunny afternoon and we’d like to thank all of our partners for coming along and running a brilliant variety of fun activities with the families.
